So, we were asked to come out with a few multimedia and web publicity materials for FES Singapore to commemorate its 50th anniversary (1959-2009). The theme is Recalling History, Proclaiming His Story.

First up, is the logo design. It’s just a simple plant with 2 leaves in the shape of a cross, and the word fes 50th. This design, to me, not only portrays an evergreen Christian organization but also to show how the cross gives life (the plant is cross, and life at the same time). The last bit actually highlights the part of “proclaiming His Story”.

Next, is the poster. It had been initially designed by another person but due to unforeseen circumstances, he was not able to finish it and I was given the job. The only essence I took from the previous design is the old-looking tree, which shows that although it has grown big, it is still green.

Then comes the website. This website serves as a portal of information about the events around the 50th anniversary and at the same time serves as a registration site for people interested in the events. The website uses Wordpress as it’s CMS and the design follows pretty much the color and design of the logo and poster.
